We are excited to invite you to take part in our exchange programme with ELSA Budapest – a unique opportunity to connect with law students from another European university while enjoying a rich cultural and academic experience.
📅 Dates
- Wednesday 4 February – Saturday 7 February 2026
(ELSA Budapest visits Maastricht) - Wednesday 6 May – Saturday 9 May 2026
(ELSA Maastricht visits Budapest)
💰 Price
Price of the trip (includes travel costs to and from airport, visits planned during the trip except social activities and accomodation). Total of €250.
👥 Eligibility
- Open to law and non-law students
- Open to non-ELSA Members (ELSA Members will be prioritised)
📚 Programme Highlights in Budapest (6–9 May)
- Law firm visit
- Hungarian Parliament visit
- Boat tour on the Danube (drinks included)
- City tour and social activities
📚 Programme Highlights in Maastricht (4-7 February)
The exchange will feature a mix of cultural and legal activities, including:
- A day trip to Brussels with visits to European institutions (reserved for Budapest students)
- Movie screening followed by a law professor presentation
- Social activities such as restaurants and bars
- Plenty of opportunities to connect with law students from another European university
✈️ What’s Included?
Accommodation, flights, organised activities in Budapest
Expenses to be covered by participants:
Transportation between the city and the airport (both upon arrival and departure)Meals during the trip
Local transportation within Budapest
🏠 Hosting Requirement
As a condition of participation, you must be available to host your Budapest exchange buddy during the first week of February 2026 (from the 4th to the 7th of February).
ELSA Maastricht can assist in finding solutions (an inflatable mattress or couch is perfectly fine).
💶 Deposit
A €50 deposit is required to secure bookings. This amount will be deducted from the final trip price.
